    • Follow the instructions to set a strong password to secure your account. Passwords must meet the minimum length and complexity of 8 (eight) characters of at least 1 uppercase letter, 1 lowercase letter, 1 symbol and 1 number.
  • Email address
    • A user's initial and surname are used for their email address.
      Example: John Doe = jdoe@lorraineschool.co.za
  • Mapped Network Drives
    • Home Drive (H:) - Your personal storage on the server. Only you have access to these files.
    • Shared Drive (Z:) - Storage that teachers can use to share documents and work with other colleagues.
    • Scans Drive (S:) - Where your workflow scanned documents are kept when scanning from a printer.
  • Print code and credits
    • A four-digit code is given to each user to use as their print code. This code may not be shared with anyone.
    • Each user has unlimited black and white (Mono) credits and R150/100 pages of colour per annum. Additional colour credits can be purchased at R1.50 per page for personal printing.
  • Printing spools
    • The school uses printing spools to keep submitted prints in a central place. A user will not send work directly to a printer but rather to one of two printing spools. This allows users to release their print jobs from any of the printers inside our network. It also provides users with additional printing options should a printer be in active use by another colleague or be out of order. The spools used are as seen below:
SPOOL NAME Document Type:
Global Mono Release Black and white jobs
Global Colour Release Colour jobs
